YES! but only if we direct her to it or have it sat out for using…
She woudn’t chose it over dangling from my neck, climbing all over the couches or running in circles, otherwise….
—
Kelly Salt at 1:11pm March 16

—
Michelle Stark at 1:12pm March 16
Christian takes “sensory breaks” when he’s feeling overwhelmed, this does include the trampoline in the Occupational Therapy room at school, body socks, wall push ups… whatever is most convenient at the time. He does LOVE the trampoline though!
—
Sue Berggren at 1:13pm March 16

Joy Tallerico at 1:15pm March 16
Exactly same here. Can jump for hours. My other two love it also but not as much as the other.
But don’t all kids like trampolines? I would think most kids are motivated by trampolines whether typical or not.

Just got one, and we have a lot of socialization (the neighbors come to visit and play) and deep pressure input, plus lots of smiling. We do it even in the rain.
—
Adele Johnston at 1:23pm March 16
She also has a bouncing ball, a big yoga ball that has a handle on it, she sits on it, holds onto the handle and bounces around the room. Great for balance and coordination.
But same sensation as the trampoline.
Tasha loves the trampoline! The school limited her to 5 minute blocks, when she needed to get the wiggles out.
—
Dawn Teale at 1:23pm March 16 via Facebook Mobile
We also use ours all weathers, me n my partner go on it 2 which again is a site 4 sore eyes bt kane loves the interaction he gts so i dnt mind looking like a dope,
—
Jennifer Del Villar Capone at 1:39pm March 16

—
Ericka Plourde at 1:43pm March 16

Wanda Morris Curley at 3:51pm March 16
My son loves a mini-tramp as well as a treadmill…..I think any kind of exercise they can do is GREAT for them…..and swinging especially is one of the best and most fun exercises they can do.

Klaiton has a large one in the back garden. He adores it, he,s had a day off school today as it was teacher training and hes been on it most of the afternoon. He has a large safety net all around it, this allows him to have some independance which is great for him. X
—
Fran McGowan at 3:07pm March 16
Ryan turns 5 next week and his present is a trampline – a big one for the garden – he doesn’t know it yet. He spent an hour on the trampoline at the fair at half-term – he loved it. He uses my bed as a trampoline. The boy just LOVES trampolines!!!

He loves to jump…I’m forever scolding him to not jump on his bed(which he has already put his foot down through the box spring twice)and the couches and chairs…were thinking about getting one this year for his graduation present
—
Shay Shealy West at 5:09pm March 16
My 7 yo son loves the trampoline–15 footer in back yard and small trampoline in living room. He craves the sensory input from heavy-duty joint compressions, and loves to jump from heights. Kinda scary.
—
Bec Rogerson at 5:12pm March 16
Yes he would even sleep on it if i let him. He goes on it for fun, to releave frustration, when it rains, he will lie on it. If we did not have the trampoline I really do not know what we’d do
—
Cynthia Johnson at 5:17pm March 16
My son w/ AS always jumps on the couch. People come over and ask me if he’s allowed to do so. I just tell them yes, beause he gets so much pleasure from it. He seems much more relaxed/rejuvinated afterwards.
—
Gretchen Wilson at 5:26pm March 16

My 6 year old loves to jump on anything he can. My 3 year old likes the bouncing but they will sit on it waiting for others to jump on it so they will get bounced! Personally I hate them, can’t stand the feeling of standing on one.
—
Nikki Hargis-Milford at 9:53pm March 16 via Facebook Mobile
i’m scared of being on trampolines wgdm other people are on them…. But i still get on them and i still love them…. I love when i get on a big enough trampoline that i can pull a no handed cartwheel.
—-
Nicola Wood at 8:59am March 17

—
Rosie Özlem Ciotto at 10:41am March 17
but here is another link if you guys like to read:http://www.braintraining.com/vestibular.htm
John many children with autism -included mine when he was around 6-7 years old- enjoy vestibular stimulation. Spinning, swinging, bouncing on a trampoline, horseback riding…all examples of vestibular stimulation. Why vestibular stimulation is important and enjoyable for our children? Too long to share here
—
Jannelle Pietila at 10:51am March 17
We have been through several mini trampolines….they are only about $30 or $40 bucks here. I have not bought a big one yet …only cause they scare me and we have a dog that like to chew stuff.
—
T. Baudin Seggelink at 12:48pm March 17
I can’t imagine life w/o our tramp.
—
Patricia Deines at 3:11pm March 17
yike, until winter decides to be over, our daughter is chomping at the bit to get the trampoline set up for the season and most times she will disappear and just jump or jump and act or just be with her precious trampoline
—
Patricia Deines at 3:11pm March 17

—
Dawn Bennett at 3:15pm March 17
louis loves his trampoline and would spend all day on it if he could.only thing is he likes me or dad to be on it with him….I am nowhere near as fit as him lol!!!!
—
Alexis Smith at 3:37pm March 17
My son loves to jump. He is a sensory seeker, and craver. At the same time, there are some things that he doesn’t like. Big slides, and large trampolines.
I think he just likes the sensation of jumping and the feeling of flying in the air. He adds a blanket on the trampoline for a different feel.
—
Camille March at 9:55pm March 17

—
Simone Da Luz Taylor at 1:07pm May 21
All the time we have one in his playroom. His sensory integration therapist says it is to balance his vestibular system in the inner ear and we should allow him to do it as it is good for him.
—
Terryann Luther at 1:12pm May 21
My son has been jumping on the trampoline for 13 years..his dexterity is awsome..He loves it!
—
Jeanette Boudreau O’Donnell at 1:12pm May 21
yes, we actually have a trampoline room in our home. The trampoline is built into the floor. It is mandatory that when you enter our home, you must jump on the trampoline…it is more exciting for the adults than the kids.
—
Clair Louise Foster at 1:14pm May 21

—
Cassandra Lynn at 1:55pm May 21

my son like the trampoline too we have one in our house as well
.. and especially the swings!!
he seeks input in different parts of his body all the time (he likes and responds to alot of deep pressure stuff) he is always standing on his head and his therapist said he needs more sensory input there (if thats how you say it) especially
—
Ann Smith at 1:55pm May 21
yes it really works when my son is hyper
—
Kate Stones at 1:57pm May 21
My son loves bouncing on his trampoline! We bought one small enough to have inside the house. His psychologist & physio recommended it for him.
—
Jeannette Solimine at 2:00pm May 21
She would if there was one available. Whenever there’s a trampoline at the fair or at a school event, getting her off of it, can be hard. She loves those little exercise trampolines too. If I can ever afford to buy one for her, I will. She bounces on therapy balls at home right now. It seems to provide similar sensory stimulation.
—
Christopher Phillip Tucker at 2:38pm May 21 via Facebook Mobile
I use to like swings
—
Stormie Hill at 3:46pm May 21
My son loves trampolines.

My son loves the trampoline too. He even prefers it to his climbing frame – and he loves to climb!
—
Robert Gibbs at 4:35pm May 21
..just a bit!!! We couldnt survice without it. It helps my sons get rid of so much frustration and energy. He could not go to school without 10mins on it…and after school it helps him wind down. I have to be honest and say the trampoline is the thing that has had more of an impact on Dec than anything else!
—
Katie Miller at 4:48pm May 21
someday im going to have a trampoline room and a ball pit and a giant swing in my house. Maybe insurance will cover it . . .haha

They would if I had one. Right now they use the couch, bed, wall, etc… and are age 11 and 13 !
—
April Rivera Sanchez at 2:49pm May 22
Meagan—-You can get an exercise trampoline, which is for 1 person at Walmart, Target, etc. They can be anywhere from $10 and up. I bought my son’s at Walmart for $20.00. Just a FYI.
Tina Loughton at 4:24am May 23

Yep loves it
—
Elesha ‘Hall’ Sansome at 6:00am May 23

My boys love big trampolines. We have a little one indoors at home and they’re ok w/it, use it here and there, but it’s not something they want/need to do all of the time. I think you get more bounce on a big one plus you can travel.
—
Leah Condon at 6:25am May 23
My son uses the trampoline when he becomes overwhelmed
